This trendy solution to the housing shortage had high school students learning construction skills and building two tiny homes in Ogden, Utah. Staker Parson Materials & Construction employees, Tina Linke, Northern Utah Scale & Office Manager, and Jake Goodliffe, Vice President – North Wasatch, donated their time by sitting on the Advisory Board for the Construction Pathways Program with Weber School District, the class that built the tiny homes. Last month, the class’s work was showcased in Ogden at the Weber School District Career & Technical Education Construction Management Tiny Home Expo at the Weber Innovation Center. In the Northwest region, various projects are underway to help CRH meet these goals. This month, RiverBend Materials participated in a trash clean-up project near the Hilroy site in Salem, Oregon. Roughly 30 employees spent nearly three hours collecting just under 700 lbs. of waste.
